Key West: A Blissful Getaway

We visited Key West in the spring for a laid back getaway. We spent three nights at the Winslow’s Bungalows, which turned out to be the perfect location. It’s a 20-minute walk from all the action on Duval Street, just far enough away to remain quiet and peaceful. The bungalow had a charming boutique aesthetic with a breezy, Tommy Bahama vibe.

If you prefer not to walk everywhere, the property also offered beach bikes for rent, which became our favorite way to explore Key West.

Although it’s possible to fly directly into Key West, we chose to fly into Fort Lauderdale and drive down through the Keys. Renting a convertible made the scenic ride even more enjoyable. Along the way, we stopped at Robbie’s in Islamorada to feed the tarpon, and at No Name Pub, a historic spot dating back to 1931.
