Tulum Airbnb Stay: Penthouse in Aldea Zama

Our spring stay in a one-bedroom penthouse at Miraluna in Aldea Zama was the perfect blend of style and tranquility. Miraluna is an upscale condominium community located in Aldea Zama’s exclusive VIP section, Luum Zama. Set within one of Tulum’s most desirable residential neighborhoods, the modern Airbnb combines sleek design, natural touches, and a serene jungle backdrop. It provides a relaxing escape while keeping you close to beaches and restaurants.

Having visited Tulum before, and previously staying at the luxury hotel Shibari Tulum in the central beach hotel zone, we wanted to experience a different side of the area this time. Miraluna, situated near the Secrets Resort, turned out to be an excellent choice. Our penthouse was inside a gated community with 24/7 security, adding an extra layer of comfort. We rented a scooter from a nearby bike shop, which made reaching the beach hotel zone just a quick 10-minute ride.

We booked this one-bedroom, two-bath penthouse through Booking.com and couldn’t be happier with the experience. It was significantly more affordable than a hotel stay while still offering a beautiful and restful trip.

Restaurants

We had most of our meals in the beach hotel zone, and we’ll share our favorite spots in a later post. Tulum’s dining scene definitely lives up to the hype. However, we did enjoy breakfast a few times in Aldea Zama. Our top pick, which we’re already excited to return to, was Vintage Café. It’s just a five-minute walk from the penthouse (or a one-minute scooter ride). The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was wonderful.
